Dubai Marina next to the Palm
Dubai Marina, JBR and Bluewaters are neighbors of Palm Jumeirah. They are not part of the island, and they are not a short walk from Atlantis. You use the Marina as a second base for a walk, a cruise or a meal, and the Palm is visible from the towers and from the beach.
The easiest way to see the water is a boat. A shared cruise leaves from the Marina or from Dubai Harbour, and a longer charter can be booked for a group. Compare the options on our page about Dubai yacht tours, then come back here for the walk, JBR and Ain Dubai.

Marina Walk and JBR
The walk is a network of paths, not one straight promenade.
Marina Walk
Paved footpaths of about 7 km in total run around the Marina area. Stops along the way include Marina Mall, Pier 7, JBR and The Beach. Plan a section, not the whole loop, if you walk in the afternoon heat.
JBR and The Beach
Jumeirah Beach Residence sits at the sea end of the Marina. It has a beach with a view back toward the Palm, shops and cafรฉs. Evenings are the easier time for a long walk.
Beaches on the Palm โViews toward the Palm
The island is visible from towers and beaches in the Marina. For a closer look from above, see the Dubai helicopter tours, which fly over the island.
Our pick: a speedboat tour from the Marina to the Palm
This 90-minute speedboat tour starts in the Marina, and its route runs past Atlantis and the Palm, so it is the one to book if you want to see the island from the water.

Dubai Marina and Palm Jumeirah tours
Yacht cruises, helicopter flights and other trips around the Marina and the Palm, with live prices and availability.
Boat trips from the Marina
Same harbor, very different products.
One-hour Marina cruise
The short tour costs AED 89 from age 3 (2026), and children aged 0 to 2 go free. The route passes the Marina, Ain Dubai and Bluewaters, and JBR and the Harbour. It does not include Atlantis or the Palm, so do not book it for a view of the island.
Shared tours
An operator lists shared tours from AED 89 per person. That is the entry price for the category, not the price of a trip around the Palm. Shared tours have a fixed route and departure, and they start either in Dubai Marina or at Dubai Harbour, which are different meeting points.
Private charter
Charter prices start at AED 500 per hour for the whole boat, not per person (2026). Three hours is the usual minimum, and shorter trips are available on request. A reservation needs a 50 percent deposit. Extras cost more.
Dinner cruise
Daily dinner cruises run on houseboats with a buffet and last 90 minutes. A houseboat is not a traditional wooden dhow. If you want a dhow, check the boat type before you book.
Check-in and ID
One operator asks you to arrive 20 to 30 minutes before departure at Marina Level in Al Majara Tower, Al Hubob Street. Bring a passport copy as a tourist or an Emirates ID as a resident, on your phone if you like. On a charter, children under 9 wear a life jacket, and children under 2 stay in the saloon area. Other products and the Harbour departures have their own rules.
Ain Dubai on Bluewaters Island
Close to the Marina, but on its own island.
Ain Dubai is open daily from 10:00 to 21:00, with last entry at 20:15. The standard ticket starts at AED 145 (2026). Ticket holders can park for up to 4 hours in the Bluewaters underground garage if they validate a same-day ticket at the box office. That offer applies to Bluewaters, not to Palm West Beach or Atlantis.
| Option | Time | Price (2026) | Good to know |
|---|---|---|---|
| Marina cruise | 1 hour | AED 89 from age 3 | Does not reach the Palm |
| Shared tour category | โ | From AED 89 per person | Start in Marina or at the Harbour |
| Private charter | Usually 3 hours or more | From AED 500 per hour per boat | 50 percent deposit |

| Ain Dubai | โ | From AED 145 | Daily 10:00 to 21:00, last entry 20:15 |
For most first-time visitors, the one-hour cruise plus an evening on the Marina Walk covers the area, and Ain Dubai is the add-on if you want height. If you want to see the Palm itself from the water, choose a charter or a product whose route lists it.
Getting between the Marina and the Palm
Two different places on the same coast.
The Metro and Tram connect at Sobha Realty and DMCC. From the Tram you continue to Palm Jumeirah. Do not plan on a direct walk from the Marina to Atlantis. The full route, with hours and fares, is on the getting there page.
Dubai Marina: frequently asked questions
Is Dubai Marina on Palm Jumeirah?

How long is the Marina Walk?
The paved footpaths around the Marina area add up to about 7 km. They form a network, so you can walk a section and turn back.
Does the one-hour Marina cruise pass the Palm?
No. The route covers the Marina, Ain Dubai and Bluewaters, and JBR and the Harbour. Atlantis and the Palm are not part of it.
How much does a private yacht cost?
Charters start at AED 500 per hour for the boat, not per person (2026), usually for at least 3 hours. Check the extras and the deposit before you book.
Can I park at Ain Dubai?
Ticket holders get up to 4 hours in the Bluewaters underground garage after validation with a same-day ticket at the box office. This does not carry over to the Palm.
Is this the official Dubai Marina website?
No. This is an independent travel guide with no connection to Nakheel, Atlantis, The View at The Palm, Visit Dubai, any hotel or any tour operator.
