Palm Monorail status: suspended for maintenance
The operator has temporarily suspended the monorail for maintenance until further notice. The regular timetable below applies only once service resumes. Check the current service status on the day before you plan around the monorail.
If you are heading to Atlantis for Aquaventure tickets or the aquarium, plan the tram and a taxi instead. The sections below cover that route, then the stations, fares and timetable that apply when the monorail is back in service.

How to reach the Palm without the monorail
The tram and a taxi cover the gap.
Metro and tram
No metro train runs onto the island. From the Red Line, change at Sobha Realty or DMCC to the tram, get off at the Palm Jumeirah stop and walk to Palm Gateway. Tram stops are open Monday to Saturday from 6 a.m. to 1 a.m. the next day, and Sunday from 9 a.m. to 1 a.m. the next day. These are stop opening hours, not guaranteed last connections.
Getting there โTram fares
With a Silver nol card, a ride costs AED 3, 5 or 7.50 depending on the zones. A Red Ticket costs AED 4, 6 or 8.50. These are the public transport fares, separate from any monorail fare.
Taxi
Taxi starting fares are AED 20 to 25 depending on the taxi type and pick-up point, then AED 2.62 per kilometer and AED 0.50 per minute of waiting, plus Salik tolls. From Dubai Airport to Atlantis, plan 40 to 60 minutes and around AED 120 as a rough guide, not a meter guarantee.
From DWC airport
Airport buses F55 to EXPO metro station and N55 to Ibn Battuta run every 30 minutes. From there continue by Red Line and tram, or by taxi.
Our pick: a day at Aquaventure
Aquaventure sits at the Atlantis end of the line, so a day pass is the usual reason to ride the monorail. Until it runs again, the tram and a taxi get you to the same gate.

Attraction tickets, boat trips and flights around the Palm, with live prices and availability.
Stations
The line has four stations: Palm Gateway, Al Ittihad Park, Palm Jumeirah Mall and Atlantis Aquaventure. The mall was called Nakheel Mall until 3 September 2025, and the station uses the new name. The Pointe is not a monorail station.
Palm Gateway is the starting point and the walk from the tram stop. Al Ittihad Park is a green space with a 3.2 km running track. It is a park, not a beach. Atlantis Aquaventure is the end of the line, next to the resort.

Fares when the monorail runs
Fares per ticket, in AED, for when the monorail runs.
| Route | Single | Return |
|---|---|---|
| Gateway to Al Ittihad Park | AED 10 | AED 15 |
| Gateway to Palm Jumeirah Mall | AED 10 | AED 15 |
| Gateway to Atlantis Aquaventure | AED 20 | AED 30 |
| Al Ittihad Park to Palm Jumeirah Mall | AED 5 | AED 10 |
| Al Ittihad Park to Atlantis Aquaventure | AED 10 | AED 15 |
| Palm Jumeirah Mall to Atlantis Aquaventure | AED 10 | AED 15 |
Children under 5 or under 110 cm travel free. Passengers over 60 and holders of a POD card pay 50 percent. A family return from Gateway to Atlantis for four people costs AED 99 in total. There is also an any-station return at AED 35, so ask at the station what it covers before you treat it as a day pass. For most visitors going from Gateway to Aquaventure and back, the AED 30 return is the one to buy, and a family of four is better off with the AED 99 family return.
Paying with a nol card on the monorail was introduced in October 2022, and monorail fares remain separate from tram fares. Ask at the station whether your card is accepted. Parking is paid before you leave, and a lost ticket costs AED 150. Free parking with a monorail ticket is not promised.
Regular timetable
When the monorail runs, trains leave every 15 minutes. From Palm Gateway the first departure is at 9:00 a.m. and the last at 9:45 p.m. From Atlantis the first is at 9:15 a.m. and the last at 10:00 p.m. The interval between trains is not the same as the length of the ride, so allow generous time for a connection.
While service is suspended, check the current status first.
