Twelve ideas for the Palm
Most of the island is residential, so the visits cluster in a few places: the Palm Tower with The View, Atlantis with Aquaventure and the aquarium, the West Beach waterfront and Al Ittihad Park. The ideas below mix those places with trips that start elsewhere but show you the Palm from the water or the air.
Each attraction is its own business with its own ticket. There is no joint island pass, and a free walk on the island is not free access to a hotel beach or an attraction. If you want a ticket right away, start with Aquaventure Waterpark tickets or the page on The View at The Palm.

Views and exhibitions
Start with the Palm Tower.
1. Visit The View
The regular viewing deck is on floor 52 at 240 m. You enter through the lobby and exhibition on the east roof of Palm Jumeirah Mall. Standard admission starts at AED 115 (2026). Opening is listed as 09:00 to 19:00 and as 10:00 to 20:00 with last entry at 19:00, so check the time on your ticket and arrive 15 minutes early.
The View at The Palm โ2. Go up to The Next Level
A second, higher viewing level sits on floor 54 at 250 m. It is a separate ticket, from AED 130 to 190 depending on the option, with a standard and a fast-track version (2026).
3. See the Palm exhibition
The visit includes an exhibition on how the island was made. It pairs well with our page on the history of the Palm, which covers the 2001 start of the breakwater and the shape of the island.
4. Spend a day at Aquaventure
The waterpark is open daily all year, and closing is at 18:00 or 18:30. Box-office prices depend on the season. Tickets start at AED 345 for adults and AED 295 for children under 8 and under 1.20 m (2026). Life vests are required below 1.20 m, and slide minimums are 1.07 m or 1.20 m.
Aquaventure Waterpark โOur picks: things to do on the Palm
A day pass at a hotel pool and beach is the relaxed option, and the Marina yacht cruise gets you onto the water. The helicopter flight from the Jumeirah helipad suits those who want the Palm from above with commentary.

Slower options on the island itself.
5. Visit the Lost World Aquarium
The aquarium at Atlantis reopened as Lost World Aquarium on 27 October 2025. It is the former Lost Chambers, not a second site. It is open daily from 11:00 to 20:00. The entrance is via The Avenues, and car park P19 has a free shuttle. A day pass for the waterpark can be extended with an aquarium add-on of AED 55 or a combo pass, and hotel guests get both (2026).
Lost Chambers and Lost World Aquarium โ6. Walk the West Beach waterfront
West Beach, also called Palm West Beach, has a promenade, restaurants and separate club offers. Walking the waterfront is not the same as free use of loungers, pools or club areas. See the beaches page for the categories.
7. Walk or run in Al Ittihad Park
The park has a 3.2 km walking route and more than 100 locally occurring plant and tree species. It is a park, not a swimming beach.
8. Browse Palm Jumeirah Mall
The mall on the trunk has shops and restaurants. It was called Nakheel Mall until 3 September 2025. The lobby for The View is on its east roof.
On the water and in the air
Some of these start off the island.
9. Paddle a kayak or stand-up board
Atlantis offers kayaking and stand-up paddling as non-motorized water sports. Check price and availability with the resort before you plan around them.
10. Take a yacht trip with a view of the Palm
A charter operator names Atlantis as a route destination, and the trip starts in Dubai Marina, off the island. The exact route depends on the product, so check what the booking lists. Charters start at AED 500 per hour for the boat, not per person (2026). Our page on Dubai yacht tours compares shared and private options.
11. Jump in tandem with a Palm view
The Palm Dropzone package is a tandem jump with a view of the island, not a start on a frond. Prices are AED 2,199 without photos or video and AED 2,749 with standard video and photos (2026). You must be 18 to 75 on the day. Weight and BMI limits apply together: women up to 90 kg and BMI 27.5, men up to 100 kg and BMI 30.0. Plan 3 to 4 hours in total.
Skydive Dubai over the Palm โ12. Fly by helicopter from Atlantis
One operator lists an Atlantis take-off point. The 12-minute Pearl flight costs AED 715 per seat, and the 17-minute Iconic flight costs AED 979 per seat, including 5 percent VAT (2026). Bring your original passport, or an Emirates ID if you live in the UAE.
Helicopter tours over the Palm โ| Option | Where it starts | Price (2026) | Time |
|---|---|---|---|
| The View, standard | Palm Jumeirah Mall, east roof | From AED 115 | Ticket slot |
| Yacht charter | Dubai Marina | From AED 500 per hour per boat | Usually 3 hours or more |
| Helicopter, Atlantis | Atlantis | AED 715 or AED 979 per seat | 12 or 17 minutes |
| Tandem skydive | Palm Dropzone | AED 2,199 or AED 2,749 | 3 to 4 hours in total |
For most travelers, The View is the lowest-cost way to see the shape of the island. Choose a helicopter seat if you want to fly, and the skydive only if the jump itself is the point.
Plan the days
How the ideas fit together.
The trunk day
The View is reached through the east roof of Palm Jumeirah Mall, so the two fit into one visit. Al Ittihad Park is a separate stop. Keep the walking for a cooler part of the day.
The Atlantis day
Aquaventure and the aquarium are both at Atlantis. Decide on the add-on or combo pass before you buy.
Getting around
The Palm Monorail is temporarily suspended until further notice due to maintenance, so plan to reach the island by Tram, taxi or car. See how to get to the Palm.
Dubai also has desert trips, which belong to a separate guide. For safaris and other desert trips, see the desert safari guide.
Things to do on Palm Jumeirah: frequently asked questions
What are the main things to do on Palm Jumeirah?
The View, Aquaventure and the Lost World Aquarium are the main paid visits. West Beach, Al Ittihad Park and Palm Jumeirah Mall are the main places to walk and eat. Boat trips, flights and the skydive show the island from outside.
Is there one ticket for all attractions?
No. Each attraction sells its own ticket and has its own rules. The aquarium can be added to a waterpark ticket for AED 55 or through a combo pass (2026).
Is the Lost World Aquarium the same as Lost Chambers?
Yes. Lost Chambers is the old name. The aquarium reopened as Lost World Aquarium on 27 October 2025.
What should I wear and what are the local rules?
Wear modest clothing in public areas and swimwear only at the beach or pool. Ask before you photograph people. The minimum age for alcohol is 21, and drinking is for licensed venues only.
Where are the desert safaris?
Safaris and balloon flights are covered by the separate desert guide linked above. They are not part of this island guide.
Is this the official Palm Jumeirah website?
No. This is an independent travel guide with no connection to Nakheel, Atlantis, The View at The Palm, Visit Dubai, any hotel or any tour operator.
